2017 Calendar of Events 

Schedule and status of adjudicative hearings 
in the Northern Pass trial at the SEC 

All sessions are held at 49 Donovan Street, Concord, N.H., begin at 9:00 AM, and end at approximately 5:00 PM unless otherwise noticed 

SEC Revised Notice of Adjudicative Hearings and Public Statement Hearings (4/24/2017)

April 13, 14, 17, 18, 19;
May 1, 2, 3, 4, 31; 
June 1, 2. 8, 9,13,

STATUS AS OF THE END OF JUNE 13: Questioning of Applicant's Witness Panel 3 (Frayer) is expected to conclude on the morning of June 14. Witness Panel 2 (Environmental) will follow Frayer on June 14. Applicant witness panels are expected to continue through August 3. Counsel for Public and Intervenor witness panels, which have not been scheduled yet, will begin after August 3.

June 14, 16, 20, 23, and 26;
July 18, 19, 21, and 31;
August 1, 2, and 3. 

The adjudicative hearings are evidentiary hearings open to the public to observe. Only Intervenors, Counsel for the Public, and the Applicant may participate. Unless otherwise specified, the hearings will begin at 9:00 a.m. on the scheduled date at 49 Donovan St., Concord N.H.

Order of the Applicant's witnesses, beginning May 1:

Cross examination of the above witnesses by CFP, Intervenors and the SEC Committee is expected to require all available days through August 2 or 3.

Presentation and questioning of Intervenor witnesses will follow; this section of the trial has not been scheduled yet.

The final part of the trial, public deliberative sessions by the SEC, has not been scheduled yet.

Schedule of public statement hearings at the SEC trial 

Instructions for signing up in advance to speak 

On June 15, June 22, and July 20, 2017, from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., the Subcommittee will take written or oral statements from members of the public who are not intervenors in the proposed project. 49 Donovan Street, Concord, N. H.

To ensure the efficient conduct of the proceedings, if you would like to present an oral statement, please send an email, no later than May 31, to Marissa Schuetz, Program Specialist, at

Please include the following information in your email:

1. Your name, your email address, and the city or town where you live;

2. Your position on the proposed project (support, oppose, no position);

3. Your first, second, and third choice dates to appear to make your public statement;

4. Whether you require any special accommodations or if you have any particular requests or limitations regarding the schedule.

The Administrator will post a final roster and schedule of speakers on the Site Evaluation Committee website at: in advance of the first public statement hearing date. To the extent that there is time remaining on any day, members of the public who have not signed up in advance will be provided time to speak after those who have pre-registered.

SEC Site Visits 

The April, 2017 visits were postponed. No rescheduled dates have been announced, but will likely be in late July.
